Rest in Peace Great Nana

On Saturday night January 7th our world turned upside down. A Grandma that had always been there was in the hospital fighting for her life. As we sat there going in every once in awhile to check on her we got to see her beautiful smile and those lively eyes one more time. We got to hold that little old wrinkled hand one last time. She was trying to tell us something but we could not make heads or tails of what she was trying to tell us. She was getting restless so we let her be to rest. Only we didn't know it would be our last. One last kiss, one last hug, one last breath and then it was done. This poem is for you Great Nana. You are irreplaceable, as a mother, a Grandmother, and a Great Nana. We will miss you and one day will meet with you again. Give Grandpa a hug and kiss for us. Go rest in peace.
Fly Fly,
Fly little wing
Fly beyond imagining
softest cloud in the whitest dove
Upon the wind of Heaven's love
Past the planets and the stars
Leave this lonely world of ours
escape the sorrow and the pain and fly again
fly fly precious one
your endless journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
far too beautiful for this
cross over to the other shore
there is peace forevermore
but hold this memory bittersweet
until we meet
fly fly do not fear
don't waste a breath don't shed a tear
your heart is pure, your soul is free
be on your way don't wait for me
above the universe you'll climb
on beyond the hands of time
the moon will rise the sun will set
but i wont forget
Fly fly little wing
fly where only angels sing
fly away, the time is right
go now, find the light
