Reach for the sky!!!

Hunter is almost 2 years old now. When he was first born he use to amaze me on what he could do when and still to this day he amazes me. He talks like he has been talking for years. He scolds the dogs when they are in trouble. He comforts the cat when she is lonely and needs loving. He can carry on an adult conversation complete with shaking of the head and hands. His vocabulary has quadrupled over the last few months. He can say anything you tell him to say. His little personality has just exploded over the last few months.

For his birthday we are celebrating with Toy Story! His favorite line from it is of course "Reach for the sky" which comes complete with the voice and seriousness of woody! We have a fun day planned for the little ones while the adults can talk about the last 2 years. Pictures will come later. We have invited some of his little friends this year to come play with us so it should be interesting to see how he reacts to them being there.

He is getting his room redone with Toy Story for his birthday. New bedding, new decorations, a rug, and a new night light that we cannot live without. We no longer have babies in our house we have big boys!!

Other milestones that we have encounter besides his vocab is he is now wanting you to play with him. He will hand you a toy and say come play with me and I am sorry but how can you resist that? No my house is not perfectly clean, and maybe it is time for supper BUT when your little one for the first time wants you to play- all that other stuff can wait. It has been so long since we went through this year Wyatt it is totally fun to see it all over again.

We have also taken an interest in the potty!!! I know what people say its too early but you know what- I have learned that if kids are interested you can't shut them down or you will lose them forever. So if he says he wants to go potty, we take him in there and walk him through what happens. We have not started pushing the issue cause he obviously is not ready for that but one of these times he will actually go and surprise I get a reward???

Here are a list of words he can say: mommy, daddy, bubba, papa, nana, grandma, grandpa, great nana, great grandma, puuppy, water, drink, night night, love you, house, car, ready, set, go, green, purple, blue, yellow, potty, pee, poop, kitty, cat, cow, pig, duck, woody, buzz, yee haw, bullseye, phone, hello, bye bye, see ya, tomorrow, arm, leg, head, tummy, butt, foot, one, two, five, bed, rock, semi, Sally, Lightening McQueen, Thomas, Mike, Nick, come play with me,  I need to go potty, shower, hair, Lily, truck, choo choo track, church, mac, peterbuilt, ring ring, happy, clap, and so many more!! We are already talking in complete sentences as well.

We continue to let him grow up and become a boy. He is realizing there is a whole world out there and he wants to be a part of it and find out all about it! We will see how mommy handles that!!
