So recently I have posted about my step son, Wyatt. Well his mother has flown the coop again. She is several months pregnant and recently went into the hospital because she refuses to eat and take care of herself. Tonight she calls us to let Cody know that he will not get to pick up Wyatt tomorrow because he is sick. Cody said he didn't care that he would be there. She continued to deny him the right to pick up Wyatt for our holiday time. We spent the next 2 hours trying to find answers to figure out what we can do to make sure we are able to pick him up. She has done this several times before, once we did not get to see him for 3 months when he was around 2 years old.
She has kept him from his first school concert, classroom parties, days of school just so we can't be involved with him or his education. We have fought for him for 5 years, never looking pack. We have been to court and have learned the ins and outs of the legal system for the father. We have also learned the the system still thinks as the father as worthless.
I would like to say Cody is the most caring father I have ever known. He loves Wyatt for who he is and completely supports him in what he likes to do. Cody has fought harder than any other man I have known.
What I ask for you, is that the next time you see a dad with his kids, don't judge- he might be a great caring dad when the mother is the psycho one.
