Hunter's New Bed

Well this past weekend, we changed Hunter's crib into a real bed. The first night he did really well. The next day for nap was very interesting. He was down right naughty and did not take a nap. He tore apart his room. Took everything out of his closet, pulled all the wipes out of the holder and spread them all over his room. Little to say he was VERY tired for Nana that night as she watched him while Cody and I had a date night. So the next day we knew we had to be tough. We were already dealing with daylight savings time where he wanted everything in hour earlier. It was nap time FINALLY so we took him upstairs told him night night and laid him down in his bed. I told him that he needed to stay in bed and if he got out, I would spank him. As I walked away, I could hear him moving around but I just kept moving. Pretty soon he was out of his bed banging on his toy box! So I calmly walked upstairs (trying not to laugh) and he ran immediately to his bed like I wasn't out! I picked up his blanky and Woody and put them in bed with him and he so nicely turned over so his little bottom was up in the air. I gave it a nice little swat and told to him to stay in bed. I walked down stairs again and he sang for alittle bit but then went sound asleep!

This morning he got himself out of bed and was waiting for me by the gate! So much easier than hauling him out of the crib! So hopefully this will continue to work out!
